You are not specifying what make it is but you hardly get replacement elements for kettles any more. The fact that you can see that power is available at the kettle it is indicating that it might be the element being defective. Had it been it switched on without any water in it? If it is the old type where the electrical cord gets plug in at the kettle check if it is well plugged in otherwise it is time for a new kettle.

How do I reset the Hendon Richmond kettle?

If your Haden Richmond kettle is flashing all lights and the dry-boil reset sequence did not work, you can try the following steps to reset the kettle:
  1. Unplug the kettle from the power source and let it cool down completely.
  2. Remove the filter and check for any signs of damage or debris. If the filter is dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.
  3. Fill the kettle with water up to the maximum level mark.
  4. Plug the kettle back in and switch it on.
  5. Wait for the kettle to boil and switch off automatically.
  6. Pour out the water and repeat steps 3-5 two more times.
  7. After the third time, the kettle should be reset and ready for use.
If the above steps do not work, you may need to contact Haden customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for a repair or replacement of your kettle if necessary.

Not heating up

In case you are still watching this issue for a solution - I'm afraid my assessment of the company troubleshooting support and of this particular issue is that we are out of luck.
I have the same problem. Have downloaded manuals - very little information except for use...ie, don't get them wet.
I have contacted the company - they asked me for the same information I gave them in the original troubleshooting request...
We bought a new one - fortunately on sale at Target. The blinking light is the normal indication - lack of heat and boiling is the problem.
Our new pot boils on both bases...old pot clicks and then just sits there with a blinking light - the light should blink until the temp is reached.
I intend to return the old pot to Target and move on....I suspect there is a burned out coil but, it is too hard to troubleshoot and won't be able to be fixed.
I suspect that a better (more expensive) pot might have more durable coils...but, we'll see how long the new one lasts.

No lights or boil

I would test the thermo fuse, power switch, and the AC cord. You will need the proper connectors, crimp tool, and replacement parts.

I have a new Bellini electric kettle. When I turn the kettle on, it starts to boil for a few seconds and then turns itself off. It will boil if I hold the "button" down for a while until it...

Unfortunately the problem is in the switch mechanism, and will need to be replaced to correct the problem. My sense is it would be cheaper to replace the kettle than trying to find somebody to repair it.

When filled with water & put on to boil it start's boiling as normal then after 10 or 20 secs.the lights inside flicker off and the kettle ceases to boil then the lights flicker back on and boiling...

I think you would only solve this problem by cleaning the thermostat contacts, or replacing the thermostat which wouldn't be worthwhile as it's likely to be cheaper to buy a new kettle.
Besides this , just getting into the kettle needs special 3 tongue screwdriver and then a certain technique to open it up without damaging the plastic parts. Im'e afraid its a throw-away world now and its not good .

Our kettle has started making a crackling noise when turned on now; thought it does boil the water, and there is no odd smell from it.

Our kettle start making the same noises and now no lights come on. i can spin it around the base and sometime it connects and work. i think it's an electrical issue of the base. i wonder if anybody knows if it's possible buy just that part, i would hate to buy new kettle just because of bad connection.
