Hi the power supply might have shut down through overheating turn the power of at the wall socket & wait for a short time before trying again the TV might reset itself if this doesn't work its probably shut down from a faulty component. good luck
Is the outlet powered? Try turning set on with own power button? Remote power button? If still nada, then check to see if something is amiss with the power supply section of set. Look for bad caps and diodes.
Please check if the power cord is connected properly in the wall outlet and in the TV.
Check the wall outlet. Has it got power?
Check if there is red light when the power is switched on at the wall outlet. If there is red light then press the power button. Does the TV turn on? If not then your power button is defective and requires replacement as it is not making contact.
Also please try to start your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. At times it helps.
turn off your cable box turn off the dvr disconnect cable box from wall outlet disconnect dvr from wall outlet unplug e-sata cable from dvr replug e-sata cable back in to dvr plug dvr into wall outlet turn on dvr plug in cable box to wall outlet turn on cable box wait for cable box to go completely thru startup procedure ...then try your list button again.
If this is a new Emerson flat panel lcd tv from Walmart, there is a chance that the remote just wont work. I've had problems with these Emerson's often with all dish network remotes. you can try doing a search on the remote itself though. Turn your tv on manually, then push the tv button on the remote and hold it until it flashes, then hit the tv power button on the remote, then push the up arrow button continuously (not to fast though) until the tv turns off and then push the # button (below the 9 button) and the remote should work. There are some new tvs' that these remotes just wont program. I hope yours works.
If you only wish to power the TV off/on with the remote, there is an alternative. Plug the TV into the outlet on the back of the Comcast box. In the Setup Menu for the Comcast box there is an option to make the outlet switched or unswitched. Select SWITCHED then the TV will turn on/off with the Comcast box. The
LC320em9 will maintain the previously selected input.
If the set will not turn on with the power button on the front of the set, you must then try turning it on with the remote. You must be sure that the remote is working correctly. If the set turns on with the remote, then your power button itself is bad or has cracked loose. This is easily fixed without having to replace the board. If the set does not turn on with a working remote, then something inside the set has failed and it should be serviced by a qualified tech.
