Hi there! As you have to understand, i (WE..) are subject to some secrecy about codes...
its not because we enjoy it but , hey, we are dealing with juice.
If all people has access to codes, 4 me its ok! NOTHING to worry about!
Its what you make of them if you dont have a clue what you are dealing with...
You wanna be the nice guy who solve a problem but you run away the net if you f** *** a bad situation
so.. Heres is the access to service mode. But please, and this stand to ALL rookies, this is always goes in your responsibility, so be gentlly.Yellow button, 1, 0,7, and stop (red button)keep this button pressed by 3/4 seconds...
YOU WILL SEE ACCESS TO TECH MODE.WHAT YOU WILL DO FOR NOW ON ITS IN YOUR INTIRE RESPONSIBILITY!
I HAVE BEEN WORKING with ricoh and all machines related ( Rex Rotary, Nashuatec,Etc etc , and also Minolta, Toshiba,Canon, etc , you name it,ive seen them all,... and its about 30 years... but after all, as a tech man, i have to render to a status! Y ou have to had a training course, a problem or two,who made you familior with the machine, and so on ( Is 30 years!!!) and then you play with solutions.4get about newcomers, going to tech manuals and give you the answers already writen there...30 years working on this dont make me an expert, but..advising you not to take the short way...im serious!
I Really enjoy Fixya! And, sometimes,i come here to get a second oppinion, when there is a doubt.so........

How do I get the letter A off

Your system is set to "Announce" mode instead of "Answer" mode.

I wish I could tell you exactly how to switch modes, but I can't do so without knowing the model of your system. Please enter the model of your VTech 5.8GHz system into the search box at http://www.vtechphones.com/support/general/manuals to download a copy of the manual.

How can I restore factory settings on my tv?

To set it to its factory settings, you have to enter its service mode option. If you are somewhat sound in electronics, you can enter this mode, and set it into factory settings. By the way, what is the brand name of your TV? Model number? Provide more details please. If you wish to get more, check the site linked here. It has details about service mode entry and adjust methods to many brand TVs. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the Brand name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard option.

I can send but not receive on my HP fax 1010. Both send and receive modes had been working just fine until this past weekend. I suspect I might have accidently bumped a button on the front...

Hi,

Since you have verified from the manual and see no issues with the settings I doubt that you have done some thing wron with the settings. Even though just check whether you plugging the phone line into the line jack or the phone jack on the fax machine, it should plug in to line. Also try and unplug/replug the units power cord as well as trying a different phone jack location. If tghis does not work try to capture the error that you get as this would help in entering in the troubleshooting link provided bellow:
