HOW DO I CHANGE BETWEEN LANDSCAPE/PORTRAIT?

After changing paper in our OCE TDS 400 printer, somehow our printer now sets all prints as a portrait format. I think a setting inadvertently got changed in our printer, but I cannot find a setting to allow it to automatically switch to the appropriate format, i.e. landscape/portrait, which is how I believe it was set previously.

Most printers do not have an automatic preference but a requirement to set it prior to printing
at the print stage go to properties , select the landscape or portrait button and apply
that makes it a default setting for all future printing

Canon ir3045n - when printing the paper orientation has switched to landscape. How do we change it back to portrait?

Hello Donna,

To change the orientation of the printer from landscape to portrait follow these simple steps;

- open any document and go to print from the file menu
- when the printers settings window opens click 'properties'
- In the next up coming windows you can see menus like 'main, page setup, effects' profiles
maintenance etc.
- click 'page setup'
- There you can see 'page size' and 'orientation'
- change the 'orientation' from landscape to portrait
- click ok and print
Done : )

At college we have a w7200, how can we print across the paper rather than down it, for example a panoramic image across the width of the paper and say 20cm high

Try selecting LANDSCAPE as opposed to PORTRAIT by using the proper print menu in your application rather than the simple print icon from most tool-bars.

You can usually find it in the FILE menus

It was printing ok in tabloid size paper, suddenly, after reinstallation of my winxp PS, it is printing halfsize on my tabloid size paper.

Having reinstalled the driver check both the printer and also the print driver for a zoom setting that would show as 50% as a default. This is most likely to be on the print driver setup on the PC. This can also happen if you get a combination of 'zoom to fit' and then change the orientation from portrait to landscape and vice versa so check this setting as well. You can avoid this by setting auto adjust for rotation from portrait to landscape and vice versa.

Print orientation

If you are printing from the included software, it has options for labels with vertical printing. If printing from a third party program, you can go to the dirver settings and change the printing orientation.
