Chanels locked just brought the tv second hand from a rent a center and the channels are locked and it ask for a code, when don't have a book it is order. How can I unlock the channels

Hello. The unlock code you need is specific to that phone. The only way to get the pin to unlock is from RAC. They have remote locked it. The files for this remote lock are hidden and embedded within the firmware. So, even if you factory reset and wipe the dalvik cache, it will still be locked.

If you really want to use this phone.. There is a way.. You will not be able to use the Samsung firmware software that runs on the phone any more.. but you can wipe all data on it, and put on another ROM firmware, but it will be virgin Android. Auto channel search is how your tv finds channels that are available. Under settings in the menu should be initial set up. There you will find channel search.

Since the only option to restore the phone is by using the lock code, you might need to re-install the OS of the phone to break the lock.

The best would be to take it to your nearest service provider or to the handset company who will be able to reset the phone settings

I had the same problem and I found out that the philips universal remote works! What you will do is follow the instructions in the book and your channel will change to the same channel. The instructions are: Hold the select button for about three seconds and click the TV button. After this you will hit the channel button until the channel on the TV appears in the upper right hand corner. After this you will hold the mute button for about 3 seconds and the release. This should work! Hope this helps you out!!!

I called Philips Magnavox at 1 888 744 5477 and they told me the default ACCESS CODE number is 0711. It works on my TV though it didn't solve MY problem of the TV defaulting to Chanel 9 every time I turn it on. Drats. Hope this helps.

If the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON while you are locking out channels, each channel will go blank as you lock it. When the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON and a channel which has been locked out is tuned, the TV will display the words PARENTAL CONTROL to let your kids know you have locked it.
