I have a Dell computer, model no: PP41L and my mouse/touch pad has seemed to quit working. Is there anyway I can fix this? Wireless mouses seem to only work temporarily.

How to fix a trackpad that quit working as well as any external mouse

Have you considered doing a "System Restore"? You could just restore back just previous to the date when the mal-function began. I bet that would fix it, and you don't loose most personal stuff.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore

If this has helped, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

My dell inspiron laptop's left click button isn't working as well as it use to, i think it maybe worn down, is there anyway i could get it replaced, and if so, where?

Simple solution with less cost is please use the external USB mouse.(Small size also avaible in market.) You are not mentioned the location where you are, Please locate the nearest Laptop service center for repair/replacement.
Try once with installing the Touch pad drivers.. .

Mouse not working.

Is the mouse optical, laser, or trackball?
Wired or wireless?
Bluetooth or USB?
Problems with mice are typically as follows:
1. Dirty (trackball) 2. Bad signal (depends on type) 3. Short in wire (wired only) 4. Sensor obstruction (optical and laser) 5. Bad drivers (you seem to have covered this one) 6. Being used on non-reflective service (laser, optical) -- try using a pad

My dell wireless mouse pointer will not come up out of the bottom left corner and when it does it disappears, won't go all of the the way to the left, ect. I changed batteries. any other thoughts

Check in control panel under pointing device or mouse and see if the computer realizes it has a mouse or a touch pad. You can also test the buttons and function in that modele

Touch pad

Hi, easy to fix this.

I have a Dell 610 myself and have the same problem, in spite of the software updates, the pressure sensitivity doesn't work real well.

To disable the glide pad, boot into the setup screens, F2, use Alt+P to scroll through the pages for mouse vs. keypad. Select Serial Mouse. Doesn't make sense when you have a USB mouse, but the PC will keep your USB mouse enabled and this disables the Glide Pad.

If you're confused or I mistyped this, ask me via the comment box below and I'll make it more clear. Its pretty late here on the West Coast, but this will fix your problem.

Thanks for rating this solution fixed once we have you settled and finished if it takes another response from me to reboot myself and be more accurate as to what page its on.

Regards,
Worldvet

Mouse stopped working

I had the same problem. I find that a multi colored mouse pad seems to solve the problem. Actually the best ive found is a wood grain or striped mouse pad.
