Hi,
I would try this :
reset the memory circuits on your iPad.
To do this : press and hold down both the Home button and the Sleep button (top right corner) until the Apple logo appears. This may take at least 10 seconds, so don't stop pressing the 2 buttons.
the iPad will re-initialize itself, but you won't loose any data or Apps. It just force-closes apps that may be frozen.
Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds, then release. If that doesn't work, there is a reset hole at the back of the tablet which you should insert a paper clip into.
I need more information. However I recommend double clicking the home button and swipe up to close all apps running in background. Then Shut Down iPad and restart it.
99% of the time this will fix any issues regarding apps not working properly.
Sounds like the "frozen screen" issue. Hold the on/off button of the tablet well also pressing the Volume+. This should FIX it and unfreeze the screen.

Press the power button. Hold it for 20 seconds to force the unit to shut down.

Turn the Tablet back on to determine if it is still frozen.
3
Remove the power adapter or USB cable from the Tablet. Turn it
back off. Turn the Tablet over and remove the screw from the back of the
device. Slide the battery panel off of the Tablet and pull the battery out
of the unit.
4
Connect the Tablet to the power adapter and power it on. The
freezing issue should be fixed and your Table should respond properly.
Reinsert the battery and charge it to full before removing it from
power.
Sounds like the software than manages the charging is frozen. Try these steps to fix the Kindle. Step 1: Plug the Kindle into the charger Step 2: Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds making sure the Kindle is OFF Step 3: Let the Kindle charge in this state for 60 to 8 hours Step 4: While the Kindle is Plugged into the charger, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then release the power button. Wait for 10 seconds. Step 5: Press and release the power button normally, the Kindle should wake up and the charger system should be reset.
