Look on the board for bloated or leaking capacitors- these are caps that have an x on the top and a yellow or brown substance out of them. If the are fat they are bloated. Next, I have had this with bad power supplies. Try another power supply or put that one on a power supply tester if you have one. It will tell you if all the voltages are there. It only takes one voltage missing to give you major headaches. If the unit is old try measuring the CMOS battery. A dead one will not let the computer boot but that is after power will come on. If you have a bad capacitor on the board it will be needing replacement- I fix them but not everybody goes to that trouble.
Restart your computer During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key this will vary depending on your computer and operating system Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaultsor load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart hope this helps
You can download the drivers for your motherboard, sound and network on internet from the website www.driverpool.com you have to specify your motherboard model and download it
Installing the USB 2.0 card in a slot that does NOT share an IRQ or shares an IRQ with onboard USB produces the best result. Consult your motherboard manual or online guide to determine which PCI slot is best for you.
You should also try disabling the on board USB support from BIOS setup.
