You can remove the pattern lock if the following conditions apply:
1. You can connect your tablet to a pc and have the drivers installed
2. You are able to run a command prompt
3. You have adb installed
Commands to run in command prompt (press Enter after every line):
adb shell cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit
In case you are not able to do the steps above, you can download a software called Uberizer, which basically does the things automated for you.
If its a iOS device (ipad) go into iTunes and connect it to your PC/Laptop and when it recognizes your device scroll down to the middle and there will be A) Backup to the cloud
ect. You want to click the one that says reset device. Hope it helps.
