Bios can detect only cpu name (no information more). After that just hanging. No keyboard and other peripherical stuff detected. CMOS cleared - no results better. Also RAM changed. What to do??
Sounda like the cpu is at fault, or you have not inastalled it or the heatsink correctly.
Remove cpu and heatsink, re-assemble ensuring good connection to socket AND good connection to heatsink with high quality thermal paste, available from any pc store.
Failing that you need another cpu to check that that indeed is the issue.
You don't need to reflash the BIOS, unless there was a problem in the first place? What cpu aree you using??
Great; it's an AMD cpu - I think we know that. WHAT MODEL?? Also NO 3.4GHz cpu's are listed as compatible:http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product...

Dear ur processor is going heat.may there is an air space in ur heat sink and processor.u can try any thermal paste for filling any air gap.or it may some bad capacitors.sorry for bad english
U can try dropping in another cpu, and removing all peripherals except the memory and see if it recognizes it. If problem persists the anomaly lies within the cmos of the mo bo or the mo bo itself.
If the cpu is now recognized add the peripherals one by one till the problem reappears. The last item you added is causing the hassle.
