Its hp pavilion dv 2000 notebook i on power no display but i hear 3 beep sound only how to service

Hi,

I just want to know if you see any power indicator on the machine? If you see any power indicator try to check if you hear any sound that it boots up to windows or try to check if there are any beeping sounds when you turn on the machine. If you hear the windows boot up sound try to use external monitor and see if the machine gives any display. If you hear consecutive beeping sound it means there are hardware that's faulty inside the machine.

Perform the steps below :

1. disconect the ac adapter and remove the battery from the notebook.
2. press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
3. replace the battery and connect the ac adapter
4. Turn On the notebook

If the issue persists then reseat the memory modules of the notebook and check

This should resolve the issue

However, if the issue persists then it could be a hardware issue. Your notebook needs to be serviced

This is happening to alot of HP DV laptops. If you check the HP site it may be covered by warranty as this is a MFG flaw. Good Luck.

The 3 beep POST code error means there is a problem with the memory, could be faulty or just needs reseating.
Reseat the RAM modules and if this doesn't work then remove the memory module/s and take them to your friendly computer shop to test them.

PL SEND INFORMATION OF BEEPS SOUND.
HOW CAN BEEP GENERATE .CONTINUOUS OR ONE BY ONE AND HOW TIMES.

IF U ARE GOING TO HP SITE CUSTOMER SUPPORT THAT GIVES PROPER SOLUTION FOR THAT.

I had the same problem...
The solution is only temporary and you will have to reapply it after around 5 to 6 boots cuz it'll just happen again (the beep syndrome).

Just heat up the laptop by turning it on and covering its air vents with your hands.

Then after you hear the beeps turn it off.
Turn the laptop on again and immediately turn it over upside down with the lid closed ofcoarse (simply put it on its back).Hopefully you wont hear the beeps and when you open up the laptop lcd...voila display.
