All suggestions have been of some help - but a bit like fixing a 2 stroke-engine sometimes it gets fixed but you don't quite know how ! My problem seems to be fixed and was helped greatly by finding on Youtube a video of a guy fixing a problem by complete removal of the top panel of m/c ! - somewhat beyond my capability; BUT it did show me how water actually was supplied to the dispenser area through many smallish holes like a pepper pot. You cant see the 'roof' of the dispenser cavity unless you're looking at the underside of it. Video showed that I could clean out the water supply area by 'blindly' using a dish wash brush sort of upside down. Having done this AND ensuring NOT to overload M/c + NOT using 'QUICK WASH' option the M/c now works FINE - thks to all respondees.

Check that the hose that connects the drawer to the tub is clean, fabric conditioner normally gunks up especially on colder wash cycles.

SOURCE: Goes through washing cycle but doesn't dissolve the tablets or cleans the clothes.

Clean out your outlet filter; this is to be done regularly once a month, depending on your usage. Re your tablets not disolving, try using front loading washing powder. Also refer to your manual..........

SOURCE: Fabric Dispenser

The detergent dispenser is located above the detergent drawer. A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distributed to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle) by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer. By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser. Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next test !!!! Look first that they are not any disconnected wires. Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit). In case it works properly (manually) - you should test by a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced. Good luck !!

SOURCE: bosch max wfl2000 washing machine

Just been through this with our Bosch Maxx, problem was the pump discharge pipe was blocked with soap deposits. I also removed the large black rubber pipe from the drum/pump and cleaned this out as well.
All working fine now.

SOURCE: fabric conditioner still in compartment after wash

Most washers recommend dilluting the softener with water when you put it in the compartment. It can build up and completely block it. I've had to manually remove it with anything I could find to reach it and since I've started dilluting it have had not problem.

SOURCE: My washing machine isnt accepting fabric conditioner

have you lifted up the conditioner flap on the drawer, you would of seen a long plastic tube sticking up, this tube gets blocked from time to time resulting in the softner not going into the machine. if you have cleaned this tube when you took the drawer out, then the only other cause is the solonoid vavle is the fault. this is easily replaced.

Fabric conditioner section in draw always full with water after cycle has finished

Detergent drawer is clogged with soap. to remove look for small plastic clip on the inside above the detergent drawer which needs to be released. Remove detergent drawer unit and wash thoroughly under running water, or bucket. Replace and problem should be solved until it gets clogged again.

Fabric softener doesn't leave the dispenser

Take out the drawer and clean the compartment and pipe at the end of the drawer with hot soapy water - washing up liquid works well. Clean all around it. To show this is working OK, put it in the sink and fill up the compartment with water until it is overflowing then stop. The water should drain out of the compartment on its own.

Next, where the drawer fits in the machine clean the water exit above the drawer with a washing up brush. This can appear brown or white depending on your water type. If this is OK try running the machine. If there is still a problem, remove the drawer again and turn off the power at the mains. Use something like a paper clip to poke all the holes in the water dispenser area above the drawer. There are lots of them so some patience might be required. If you live in a hard water area it could be blocked with limescale in which case an application of a descaling mousse or spraty will assist. Once complete, make sure you rinse the drawer area, drawer and put the drawer back in and run the machine on a short cold fill wash cycle. Put some fab con in the drawer to test that the machine drains it correctly. If all is well then there will be no fab con left. If it is still there then you will need to get into the water dispensing area to see what is wrong. Occasionally the mechanism can get jammed, lose a spring or just get broken, in which case it will need replacing.

The conditioner part is always full of water and does not take down any fabric condtioner that is put in. Have cleaned drawer an inside but does not work.

Take out the drawer and clean the compartment and pipe at the end of the drawer with hot soapy water - washing up liquid works well. Clean all around it. Use a pipe cleaner, cotton buds or piece of coiled curtain wire to ensure that the U shaped pipe is clear of obstruction. Pull it back and forward to dislodge any accumulated fabric conditioner.

Once complete, make sure you rinse the drawer area, drawer and put the drawer back in and run the machine on a short cold fill wash cycle. Put some fab con in the drawer to test that the machine drains it correctly. A good idea is to slightly water down fab con concentrate as it will eventually clog up the dispenser. If all is well then there will be no fab con left. If it is still there then you will need to get into the water dispensing area to see what is wrong. Occasionally the mechanism can get jammed, lose a spring or just get broken, in which case it will need replacing.

I have a dirty rubber inner Bosch Maxx 1200 Front Loading Washing

First clean around the rubber with some mould and mildew cleaner for bathrooms - available from most supermarkets.

This is a natural accumulation of waste detergent, fabric softener, fibres and dirt build up that is being attacked by bacteria and eventually decomposes into a sludge / goo and then eventually starts smelling bad as well.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away:

1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

The pump on the Bosch WFB 2000 front loading washing machine doesnt seem to be pumping all the water out, it leaves about 40mm of water in the drum. It though pumps and seems to be working, as it does pump...

  1. Check the filter is clean.
  2. Check that the outlet pipe is completely clear of debris and soap / detergent scum.
If this does not cure the problem then it may be there is soimething trapped in the water pump or thst the pump is actually defective which will mean a new pump is required.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odors away

Conditioner not being used from central drawer during cycle. Why and how can I rectify this?

There can be 2 reasons. The centre section dispenses the fabric softener in the last rinse. It works on a syphon effect.
If it is not assembled correctly the water flows over the side to avoid a flood and leaves the middle section full at the end. Make sure the inner pipe is inside the outer pipe and that both are completely clear of softener residue.
The second reason is the water inlet can become blocked therefore not creating sufficient flow to create a syphon effect. It gets blocked with black gunk and needs to be cleaned with pipe cleaners or a long cable tie. There are 4 rectangular holes above the centre section, near the front. They can be seen easily if you take the drawer out.

Hope this helps
