It probably has a lot of applications running in the background, and if you are using the GPS, wireless connections, and some other applications that are running simultaneously the battery will get warm as it provides the current to operate the phone.

To reduce some of this, you may want to try adding a battery monitoring app, and an app to manage the other applications use. These are available from the Play Store.

If there are apps running that you do not use or need all the time, you may want to force them off [settings/apps] to reduce the draw on your phone.

Depending on how long youve had the phone. You might need a new battery. Even though the battery says its at a full charge (100%), its possible that it has dead cells that dont hold a charge well which in result leave you with a dead phone when a power hungry application runs IE the internet.

try this solution buy or borrow a new battery then insert to your phone. if your phone those not make a hot temperature its mean your battery is broken or go to phone technician to check the hardware of phone.

Phone is not charging and is getting very hot
hi this is a good sign the battery needs replacing if you take your phone into a phone shop and just ask them to see if it needs a new battery or not they wont charge just to have a quick look at your phone but the chances are the battery just needs replacing if its getting hot then this is a sign the battery isnt holding any charge causing it to over heat.
This is a common problem with most phones.

Cell phone made sizzling noise got hot and shut down. after two hrs phone was working, but battery wont hold charge.
Take the battery out and feel both sides with your finger. There is probably a noticeable bump. It sounds like one of the battery cells "shorted" which would explain the temporary heating and now the lack of battery life. Plan on replacing the battery (with a Motorola battery, not an aftermarket battery) and make sure that you are using a Motorola charger. The phone should be as good as new! Randy

My Centro started hot syncing itself.
try this: take the battery out, then hold down the red power button...keep holding it until you put the battery back in and your screen comes on. Hope this helps, it worked for my daughter's!

the glass and LCD can be fix and replaced but the main-board heating up is saying that the board needs to be replaced but you should just purchase new one.

Have you tried putting it on a normal charger. I would do that if it still isn't holding a charge time for a new battery but if it does then it is the car charger. Hope that helps :)

Razor phone don't charge
you may have some junk in the connectors of your phone pluggin or the charger clean it with an eraser the square kind, see if the pins are bent other wise you may not have the right charger or a bad one and you should probably get a new one.
