THE POWER BUTTON IS COMING ON BUT THE SCREEN DOESN'T COME ON

hmm it might be lock from pass code?
try to plug it into a computer oh but you'd have to install drivers to be reconize and you'd have to set printer to PC mode to reconize.

i would take the button bar of and check to see if the cable is off to one side its a flat ribbon cable sounds like it is a little sideways that will make that happen there is a little clip be gentle undo it a little bit and straighten it out

That question does not reference what exactly is going on. Please step through from plugging in power adapter to power from wall outlet and pressing the power button.

ie: 1) plug in power adapter (i see charging light)
2) pressing power (i see boot screen logo)
3) next screen (i see windows boot logo)
.... and so on...

Hold down the power button until the screen goes black. Then press the power button to turn it back on. If this doesn't work, you'll have to remove the battery. If it still won't work, send it to Nintendo to fix; your limited warranty should still apply if it's the XL.

Scroll down to the photo under Step 1.
On the cover that is being lifted in the air, look at the button at the bottom/right.

Circle that is open at the top, with a line coming through the opening, halfway.
Power On button.

Doesn't work? Perhaps you have a bad Power On switch.

Try this approach:
1. Remove the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer.2. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.3. Reconnect the power cord directly to the power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power outlets.4. Re-plug the power adapter into the printer.5. If the printer won't automatically power on, press the power button on the printer operator panel.

What kind of device (make and model number) is your problem actually on?

I would say that it doesn't see any signal coming from the computer. Check your output. Check the video drivers. Try another video display.

Try restarting your computer, If it happens again, try to find a pattern in the problem. If you can't restart, hold down the power button for a few seconds to do a forced shutdown.
