What is the standard defrost timer control setting

Usually every 6 hours will keep the evaporator coil clear of frost. I set the time at 45 minutes per defrost. This unit has a defrost termination control that kicks it out of defrost when the coil reaches a certain temperature. The defrost timer is only a backup if the defrost control fails.

How difficult is it to replace a Door Gasket - True TS-49F Freezer

The old gasket just pulls directly out from its slot in the door. Start about 3" away from a corner, then pull the corner out; the rest is easy. Soak the new gasket in warm water before fitting; it softens the edge and makes it easier to push in.

Proper defrost time true t-49f

They don't even ship them properly set. They expect that a trained technician is on site at start up. I generally use 4 defrosts in 24 hours at 30 - 45 minutes each. It depends on which timer is installed.

The freezer keeps defrosting and not keeping food frozen

I would check your defrost timer to see if it is rotating. It may be stuck in defrost mode. you can check this by manually rotating the timer dial CCW yourself. This will be located in the front bottom left had corner behind the vent panel.

Coil freeze up

If the fan works , probably the unit is low on refrigerant, which means there is a leak that has to be fixed and then recharge the unit .Also could be the defrost system (heaters ,terminator or deefrost timer ).

I wondered how long the defrost cycle was supposed to run on this Turbo Air TGF 49F freezer as I am not sure if a door was left ajar or if it is stuck on defrost if possible. I would like to manually over...

If it's frosted up, it's best to defrost manually with heat gun. Find the timer and advance until it goes back into defrost. The timer looks like a residential fridge. It cut the compressor off and the heaters on.

My 3 glass doors cooler

There are generally 2 reasons why this would happen. The defrost timer or heater has gone bad. Or, the fan is not working. Because you state that it runs all day long, I would think that the coils are now a block of ice and cannot cool. In any case, manually defrost it now. Turn off the power and use a hair drier on low (not hot) setting. This should fix the electrical cost for now. Then you can determine if the fan is running properly, or the defroster.

TRUE freezer model number GDM-49F.

Your unit should have a defrost timer. The timer may be stuck in a defrost. It should be located at the bottom of the unit next to the compressor.Open the door to the timer and observe the position of the timer. If you turn the knob and the unit starts up,it's the timer. If this is the case, you can purchase a new one at any local a/c supply.Let me know,Mike
