We've just moved into our new flat that came with the above dishwasher. The old tenant lost the Manual so we wouldnt have a clue how to use it. Everytime I put it into cycle, it makes a noise (as if its draining water Im not too sure), then after a minute it starts beeping continuously and won't do anything else. I don't know what to do!

if applaince does not start draining then there is a possible fault with the door locking assembly, and the appliance thinks the door is open and this will not allow the appliance to start
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.
Is there sufficient spring reaction? Spring weak or broken? Has latch or catch moved? Is there adjustment on either? Is there debris stopping mechanism from working? Has door dropped?
indesit idl 40 not pumping water out properly, ends with flashing light no 4 and plates dry but water still in machine -have to pump out using start stop button but within 2 hours base filled up with water. Can't afford massive call out prices as lady on my own.....
hello mate, i bought a brand new indesit d40. plumbed it in and the 1st light kept flashing, phoned the technical centre and they said its the anti flood mechanism kicking in and preventing it from working. although water was going in it was not going into the dishwasher but filling the base and the safety feature just shut it off. said to get back in touch with comet who i bought it off for a new one because its a manufacturing problem. put the new one in and theres no problem. wouldn't have a clue how to fix it myself though.
