I need product key for windows vista home basic

Did you upgrade from XP? There shouldn't be a "product key" for windows vista.
Are you needing the product key for Microsoft Office Programs?
I have never heard of having a product key for an operating system, and if there is one, it should be on the envelope the disc(s) came in.
If this is borrowed OS, you'll need to get it from the person you got it from.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I have oem vista home premium and need to format

most computer makers put the restore on a partition of the hard drive that is accessed using an F-key on bootup. You should see f-key options displayed (very quickly) on booting up and one will be "restore". For example, on an HP machine, it'll be F11 you hit on boot up to go into the restore partiton.

OK. Hi, You can actually keep upgrade but you have to buy a license from Microsoft.

When you are asked to register you can option to call 800 phone number & explain that you want a license for a second computer. They can issue a new key to activate your upgrade.

Hope This helped If you need more assistance please comment back. Please rate. Good Luck!
