May have dried and calcified if it was put in and (for example) the machine was accidentally not put on to cycle for some time preventing it from being washed through. This could cause the foundation to a blockage perhaps.. If this were me id try a pipe cleaner (gently) and boiling water (use caution dont want burns) as a first port of call to attempt a free fix

SOURCE: fridgidaire front loader washer/ problems with softner dispensor

In the back of the dispenser is a button / lever to press down to remove the entire dispenser. Remove it and take off the cover over the fabric softener / bleach chambers. You may find some junk under the cups in that cover, or in the tubes sticking up through the bottom of the dispenser.
The way this thing works is like this: You fill up the dispenser with the liquid, but that liquid doesn't get up to the top of the tubes. When it's time to dispense, the washer adds water to the appropriate chamber, raising the level to above the tube. The liquid then goes down the tube, creating a suction which (ideally) draws the rest of the liquid up into the cup, over the edge of the tube, and down the dispenser. The washer will add water several times to accomplish this. The system isn't perfect, but it usually works with few moving parts.
If the fabric softener is especially thick, it will have a hard time getting siphoned down through the tube. If it looks as thick after the wash as it did before the wash, the machine isn't adding the water to the cup. I believe on the Frigidaire, there's a separate valve (all part of the same valve assembly) for each dispenser chamber. If it isn't adding the water, you'll have to replace the whole valve assembly.

SOURCE: How to replace the belt on a Samsung J845 front loader washing machine

Its on the back of machine and after you remove the back cover plate youll see that its very easy to install the new one.You shouldnt have to use any tools to put on the new belt.Just loop it around the motor pulley and around the large tub pulley that you see right in front of you.It may even appear to be too tight while your winding it on the pulleys but its not .

SOURCE: The fabric softner is not going into my washing machine

hi there just try washing the complete soap drawer again in boiling water leave in there for 10minutes to let the hot water work into the gaps and make sure u take all the holders out of the drawer u sometimes have to use a tooth brush to get into the small holes at the bottom of the little funnel what your softener holder goes over also get a small flat blade screwdriver and clean inside that funnel if thats not clean it will stop softener from going away if this doesnt work still then when your softener is supposed to be taken thru the programme make sure the washer opens the valve for the water to go into the fabric softener holder if it doesnt then the solenoid will need replacing as this could be faulty. LET ME KNOWHOW U GET ON PLEASE PETER

SOURCE: he2 front loading washing machine leak at the soap dispenser regi

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...

Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly (re: dlypooh), open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!

Fabric softener not going into machine. It is always full at the end of the wash cycle.

It depends if it is a top loader or a front loader. All question should have 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

Front loader. Why doesn't fabric softener dispenser empty?

It can be two things. First, what is left in the dispenser? If its the fabric softener, then the water valve may be faulty. The water valve will have multiple feeds and the fabric softener might be bad. If its a combination of water and softener, then the dispenser might be clogged. You can remove the slide out tray and clean it. Look for build up of fabric softener that might be there. Good Luck?

My stacked Maytag front loader leaks out through the door when the fabric softener dispenser is being filled (2nd rinse cycle only). Any help?

The second rinse is when the softener cup is being flushed. Remove the dispenser and clean and inspect the housing to be sure no softener is gumming up the holes and blocking the water flow into the machine.

Water left in fabrish softener dispenser after wash cycle

My Frigidaire front loader was doing the same thing and also not taking the bleach. I could hear that the water pressure was not real strong when I turned the machine on. I removed the two small screens on the back of the machine where the water supply hoses attached, found they were partially clogged and cleaned them well. The bleach and softener dispensers are now working like new.
