This means the unit has exceeded by time allowed for what function u are doing. sounds like a software issue, go to the sharp website and download any firmware/software updates that are avil, this may cure the issue, the factory suppor website is the best place to resolve these kinds of problems rather than a third party like us, that is my advive as an expert.

Sharp doen't even list this register on it site. I just bought it from staples. Could it be that the software doesn't work with vista. Could I use another register model number to get what I need.
I GET A RUNTIME ERROR 75 WHEN I TRY TO USE THE SOFTWARE THAT CAME WITH MY SHARP XE-41S CASH REGISTER Sharp doesn't even list on web site.
