With an upright rear paper tray, you can just watch, as the top right hand corner of the paper goes skewed/crooked when the machine grabs it. The paper will continue thru the machine skewed/crooked...giving me a print copy that is equally skewed/crooked. It was like this when it came out of the box new. I too have tried all fixes. Luckily, I dont yet have any paper jams; just a strong desire for straight paper to give me straight copies.
I believe this is a mfg defect with the pixma mx300. I am sure it wouldnt take much to fix or adjust this--- assuming somebody out there will let us know how.
Sounds like the roller(s) on the left side is missing or is slick (or split). You should have returned it to the place of purchase when you discovered the problem.
I just bought the MX330 from FactoryDirect.. A place that gets all products the mfr doesnt want to sell to end users due to defects in wither the quality or the function of the product.. ****, I thought I was getting a good deal when I bought this... no more factory direct for me..
Defect in product... I bought mine from Factory Direct.. which is known for being a purchaser of defective manufactured products that the manufacturer doesn't want to sell to high end or big box stores... I upgraded from the MX300 and thought I was getting a good deal.. a few weeks later it started skewing the paperfeed :o(

How can i get the paper jam messege out of the screen , there realy is no paper jam its just the messege when i turn on the printer thats the only thing i see on the srceen , is there some kind of reset i can do?
I'm having the same problem and it started when it was new, except mine jams up so much it won't print at all. :(
I have the same printer... it comes with just one roller. I've had it for almost 2 years, and it just started to grab the right side yesterday. Maybe it is inherent with the model, but not because it lacks 2 rollers.

The paper uptake roller is on the right side. However, there is NO ROLLER on the left side to help take the paper up.
