Fills with water then nothing happens (no noise). Will not drain either, it is less than 2 years old.
Hello: The dishwasher fills no problem, but when the lights on the control panel go to wash nothing happens. No noise at all. Also, when I hit the cancel/drain button it does not drain. After a little bit the light goes out. I looked underneath and there is no signs of leaks and it is very clean. It is a Kenmore Ultra wash and it is under 2 years old. Any advice would be appreciated (is there a fuse that could be the issue?). Thank you. Scott

it's obviously sounds like your pump has gone, but considering the age of the machine, it would probably be best to get a new machine, that way you would have a 5 year warranty with it aswell so it's win/win really!
Hello there: To be honest with you i would first try these solutions and see if they work cause a new machine would cost a lot of money. But if you can fix yours it would cost a lot less so plese try these solutions that i have provided below first ok? If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:Water-inlet valveFloat switchWater-inlet valveThe water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.Float switchThe float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
Here are a few things that might help you out, first is you could have a bad heating element in your dish washer, when it fills with water it has to reach a certain temperature before continuing to the next cycle, next thing is you could have a bad thermostat, or your timer is defective.
Motor has gone out..just like mine...Make sure u have voltage going to the motor, (disconnect the plug from the motor) and use an electric meter to make sure you have voltage going to the motor. If so the motor has either gone out or has been blocked by something! If no noise except clicking then motor has gone out. Looking at about $150 for motor.
