I have a Designer's Choice thermostatic remote controlled fan. The remote says M8CRL 103 on the back. Replaced batteries and had power to the house out for a while. Now the remote does not talk to the receiver in the fan/light. Turning power off and back on has the receiver beep 1 lone beep, followed by short beeps for about 1 minute. What do I push on the remote to communicate with the receiver again while the receiver is beeping?
I think the receiver is fine as its trying to communicate with the remote. Just need to figure out what buttons to push on the remote to have it send the code back to the receiver.I think the receiver is fine as its trying to communicate with the remote. With mine, I turn off the full power and back on and it starts beeping and and press any button on the remote and it finds it and does a couple confirmation beeps.
these fans must be reset as follows remove the battery from the remote manually turn off the wall power switch put the batteries back in the remote turn on the wall power switch press the remote buttons...if this doesn't work let me know
Try removing 120 volt power from the fan by turning offf the house circuit breaker or removing the fuse from the fusebox that supplies power to the fan. Wait 30 seconds and restore power. This may reset the fan speed control in the fan itself.
You need to change the receiver inside the fan. It is located in the top canopy of the fan. you don't have to buy a new remote just the receiver to save money and match the dip switches to the remote.
