Ouch. Are you one of those poor guys on Lucas Internet? Sorry, I meant to say Daemon. :)
Assuming your broadband light is on (WAN Link) and you have access to the administrative interface and that's where you see the message either the connection is down or your 582 needs a good old fashioned power cycle reset. If that doesn't bring it back, and you can't contact your ISP to see if there is an outage in your area you might try a factory reset (with the reset button on the back) I DON't ADVISE doing a factory reset, unless you have all your account information handy, just offering it as an option.

It has tried to find the internet connection and failed.

Look at you internet cable and whether the cable modem etc. is working.

Testimonial: "what cable?"

How do you reset a technicolor router

Usually there is a labeled recessed reset button on the rear of the device, near the AC jack connector. Try here for a User Manual: http://www.technicolor.com/en/hi/digital-home/mediaaccess/dsl/wireless/adsl/technicolor-tg582n

Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)

This is a DNS problem. Simply turn off your router and then back on. If that doesn't fix it, then try turning your firewall off or grant access to port 53 in the firewall.

If you still have the problem after you have done all this, open CMD and type in this command:
netsh winsock reset catalog
Then press Enter and when finished type this one in, Enter and when finished restart your PC:
netsh int ip reset reset.log
