When i recieve a text message it show the number and not the name of sender

check the phone book entries...possible the names are appearing twice in the phonebook...or the format in which nos are saved could be diff from the format of numbers u get message ...eg : u might have stores only no and when u recieve msg it might come with a 0 or country code too

under ur contacts put name with #...then it will show name

i faced this problem too....please go to contacts -) options-) settings-)

change show contacts of....both sim and phone....add contacts saved to phone memory....

1. Press 'Menu' (press Navi key).
2. Highlight 'Messaging' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
3. Scroll to 'Message settings' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
4. Highlight 'Text message' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
5. Highlight 'Message centres' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
6. Highlight 'Add centre' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
7. Highlight 'Message centre name' and enter 'O2 SMS'.
8. Highlight 'Message centre no.' and enter the message center no.(to know your message center no just google it with your network name)

9. Highlight 'Save' and 'Select' (press Navi key).
10. Press 'Yes' (press Navi key) to the question "Set as default message centre".

HelloThis kind of problem normally comes in non branded/china mobiles, the only remedy is, put the contact number with full country and area code like +XX-xxx-xxxxxxx, then it will give you the name with contact number.

theres no really no answer to that , it happens to mee sometimes

go to ur message settings and set the phone caller id on and press ok after some time when any message come from ur contact numbers it will show or it is unkonwn number means it will not shown

kindly check if number is saved twice in ur phone r not .. this happens when the same number is saved twice ..

first thing i would do is to make sure you have the area code included in the contact entry.....this is most like the problem
