Okay, to be of real help you have to reset the error in service mode as the officetech1 said. To do this you need to press the head key (the head with the star inside) then 2+8 together and then the head key again. This will get you into service mode. Then select 'COPIER' then 'FUNCTION' then 'CLEAR' then select 'ERROR' or 'ERR' press 'OK' then switch the machine off and on again. This may get it working for a while or a long time. But if not, you will need a fixing film unit to remedy the problem.

i used to get a similar message and it got fixed just by a simple update from my service provider.

Take it to a different service centre. Also, ask them what the 5110 error is. I don't have access to my service manuals at home, so I can't look it up.

You can also look around on the web, often you can find the service manual and download it for free.

I would really recommend taking it back to the service centre. If you can't get any satisfaction from them, call Canon, they should be informed about that service centre.
