2009 chevy AVEO 5 ac blows hot air

The guage needs to read between 35/40 psi.. If its much higher you may be overfull, this causes it to not cool.. Fix by letting some freon out, then top it back to needed pressure.. If pressure is correct, it would be a clog in the system.. Usually an orafice tube or accumulator..good luck!

1995 Buick Century blowing hot air.

A mechanic would check the system with a set of pressure gauges. If the compressor is running, the low side would read around 30psi and the high side would be around 250psi. That is how you know if the system is full of freon or not.
You may have to get a professional diagnosis to proceed. If you replace the compressor, the accumulator needs to be replaced and a vac pump is used to pull all of the air out before the freon is added.

Ac blowing hot air

I've gone crazy fixing air-conditioners in cars. There is a control valve in the air conditioning system that often needs changing. I would suggest that as your next step because it is relatively cheap intervention. On my car they just changed the electronic command system costing $600. It didn't fix the problem. They then changed the valve ($125) and it did the trick. And finally, I once had a honda and they changed every piece of the ac. When that didn't work I searched the web which told me it was the button in the car. I had to change the whole heat ac control panel but I got a used one. Good luck and stay cool

Today the A/C stopped blowing cold air yesterday it was fine, Nothing but hot air was coming our of vents

Look for leaks around the A/C hoses and compressor. You may just be low on Freon. When the pressure in your lines (amount of gas in your ac lines) is low, the ac will just cutout hence blowing hot air. try adding some freon.
