Whirlpool Duet front-load washer F02 usually means it is taking over 8
minutes for the washer to sense that the rinse or wash water has
drained, which either means that the drain/filter is clogged or the
pressure switch/tube is clogged (causing both the washer to over-fill
with water and not sensing that water has drained).
To clear out
the drain/filter, tilt the washer backwards a little for easier to the
kick-plate and support the front bottom with a wood block or similar,
remove the front kick-plate's (3) retaining screws and swing the
kick-plate up out of the way. The filter drain is behind the white knob
in the center, be prepared with something to catch any remaining water
and lots of towels to soak up any spills, and turn the knob
counter-clockwise to remove the filter.

Hello, W/D here. What you are seeing is the suds (SUD) error code, followed by a long drain fault code (F02). This does not necessarily indicate that you need to change anything at this time. When the machine senses too much suds, the error code is displayed, when too much suds are actually present, a longer drain time results. Duets are HE (high efficiency) machines, and require a detergent that produces little suds. If you are using HE detergent, cut back on it until you can run a cycle without getting the SUD/F02 alarms. If you are not using HE detergent (we don't either), you really have to be careful with the amount of detergent used. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. Run a cycle without any detergent to flush the machine. It is advisable to check that the drain hose isn't plugged or have a kink in it. Make sure that the pump is running. You may need to check the electrical connections at the pump. You might check the filter on the drain pump for debris or foreign objects, which might cause the drain cycle to be extended. If limiting the detergent, and nothing was found in checking the other items listed, then the pump may need to be replaced. Best regards, --W/D-- Please help us by rating our solutions. Thanks.
If, after four (4) minutes the pressure switch still senses foam in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will go into Failure Mode. The digital display will show, F02. Cause: wrong detergent, too much of the right detergent, detergent placed in wrong compartment.
how about the line from pump to bottom of tank?not excess suds?might be bad control bd..f code is generated when control bd senses incorrect current draw by drain motor ..could be glitch in readings or a misread
