Do you know what's the sound chip is ? like realtek HD or Soundmax Etc? i suggest to download the driver from the MB Manufacturer website with its software (full installation) not only driver and try the settings from there.
You have a conflict of the drivers, or possibly the adressing of the io adressing go int your bios and see what bios adress each hardware device is using
i have cyber acoustics headset and i cant hear anything but my Mic works, my sound is all fine, when i plug my headset out i can hear but when its plugged in, i cant hear anything.
Maybe it's not recognized. Unplug every audio device, open Realtek HD Audio Manager and start plugging them back one at a time, the manager should automatically detect that something was plugged in a specific port. Just tell it what you have plugged.
you have to goto your control panel click start button at the taskbar of your PC then click control panel you will see settings, hardware for your PC locate the REALTEK HD SOUND EFFECT MANAGER...after that now youre in the settings for your audio click the microphone button there you'll see its muted or no voll at all uncheck it the silde to its higher vol for your mic and thats it...your mic is already unmuted
For the first problem open your multimedia properties box under the audio tab you will have a sound recording device specified, check whether you have your device listed, usually you have your say ( Realtek HD Audio input or the respective company input device who supplied your audio drivers). If its not listed ten you might be having problem with the drivers or hardware you will have to call the service engineer to have to problem solved.
for the second one try the same solution. select the proper devices under the audio tab in multimedia settings.
