the disc or mechanism may be jammed and the unit knows this, someone (most shops do this) needs to open the unit and safely cycle the disc out of the unit---many times with this done the unit will suddenly work again.
If not and it is not a expensive unit you have the disc back and time to go shopping as most of these are throw away units.
Please make sure the unit has not been bypassed. After plugging the unit is plugged back in, reset the Time of Day, check to see if it keeps proper time. If it is keeping the proper time, start the unit into a manual cycle. The first cycle (backwash) should take 10-15 minutes. So see if it progresses through the cycles. You will need to regenerate 2x to get soft water back. Also make sure the salt in tank is not "bridged" causing a large block at top, but no brine in bottom of salt tank. If the system does not keep time you will need to replace the timer/drive motor. RJ
Due to very low ambient temp, the fan will not run. Once the pressure build up, it's automatically run for some time and again cut off. But if you keep Heat mode and still tem not raised in your room means the reversable valve not working and hence the compressor and out side fan also will not work. Keep "Heat" mode and temp setting +29 to get better heat. Hope is it helpful?
Hi, when the breaker trips every time you turn it on, the unit has a dead short. It may have a frayed wire where it goes into the units motor, or the motor it self may be shorted out.A bare hot wire that touches metal will pop the breaker right away. I would look the cord over very well to see if anything may be bare. If not, the problem is further into the motor section of the unit, and more then likely the motor has failed. This is why the breaker is there for this reason. In case it overloads or you have a short, it trips to keep the unit from burning. Please keep me posted. Sincerely, Shastalaker7
it sound like the unit is very low on r134a refrigerant and in being so the compressor is overheating and the thermocouple sensor on the compressor body is shutting off power to compressor to keep it from burning up
