SOURCE: cant attain digital channel scan on hitachi rear projection tv

Do you have the tuner locked out for use of HDMI input only?
Most of the time when a selection is not able to be hi-lited it is
because a feature that is activated locks out other selections.
Hope this helps,

SOURCE: Not able to scan for digital OTA channels on a JVC LT-32X667 LCD

Seeing as it does not have a digital tuner in it, I would think this would be the problem, you will have to get a box for it.

I have a Roku hisense 32". It is set up but how do I re-scan for antenna channels?

First make sure that you have the antenna connected to the RF jack. Go to the Home screen of the TV and select the Antenna TV tile on the right hand side of the screen. (If you acquired the TV from a previous owner, they could have hidden this tile. See the steps preceded by Otherwise.) If this is the first time you scanned for channels, just follow the onscreen prompts (including setting your time zone). Otherwise, go to Settings (below Home in the left column on the home screen) > TV Inputs > Antenna TV > Scan again for Channels > Start finding channels. Use the arrow keys to navigate the menus/tiles and press OK to enter. To save, make sure to select Done and press OK.

The manual for the Hisense Roku TV (2019), 32HF4030F is available here: https://www.hisense-usa.com/support/models/32H4030F_hd-hisense-roku-tv-2019 . The current link to the manual is https://assets.hisense-usa.com/assets/ProductDownloads/88/c8c9a74079/Roku-User-Manual.pdf . The section for setting up TV channels starts on page 39 of the manual. See the section starting on page 10 for information on using the remote or TV front panel buttons in the menu.

I hope this helps.

Tune my viewsonic n3246w tv

First make sure that the current input Source is set to TV to see the option for scanning for channels. There is a Source button on the front of the TV. (It's on the right side as you look at the front of the TV.) The Source button on the original remote is on the left side below the number keys. There are two RF (coaxial) cable inputs near the VGA port on the back of the TV. The digital RF signal needs to go to the port above the VGA port.

To scan for analog channels, press the Menu button. Then navigate to the TV setup option with the Up/Down arrows. Press OK to enter the menu. You can use either the Auto search or the Manual search. However, the Auto will be faster. You can set your country or leave it to Auto. Navigate to Start and press OK for the Auto-scan. There is a DTV menu button above the Volume + button on the remote. Use this menu and look for the Installation section to scan for channels. Again there is an Auto or Manual option.

ManualsLib has the manual for the Viewsonic N3246W here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/306714/Viewsonic-N3246w.html. See page 23 for the start of the analog TV channel scan information. See page 30 for the digital TV scan.

I hope this helps.

How do I connect an analog antenna to a 32 inch sharp aquos tv? and do I need a specific input setting?

antennas are not analog or digital, just VHF, UHF and they typically connect to a RF coaxial jack on the TVs rear panel. 75ohm silver round jack. Select in your TVs menus, AIR when you want over-the-air TV stations and do a new channel scan to pick up local channels.

Hello

To tune the local channels do the following.

1 Press the MENU key on the remote control to
display the Main menu.

2 Use the CURSOR "UP" or "Down"

Manual Channel Search. Press ENTER.

3 Use the CURSOR "Up" or "Down"

After the search is complete, the HDTV will exit the

IMPORTANT FACT: This HDTV maintains only one database

will be deleted. You will only be able to receive those
ClearQAM channels your cable company provides.

How to hook up to hd tv

Use the highest resolution connection your HD TV will allow. This will usually DR570's HDMI connector. Most all digital video devices have one or more. The DR570 has an HDMI OUT. Connect it to any HDMI IN connector on your TV. You will then need to set the TV's Input selection to the Input Number you connected the DR570 to. See your TV Remote or Manual.

The DR570 has three types of output connection options, in order of quality; HDMI, Component(Red/Blu/Grn RCA jacks), S-Video (circular connector), and composite (Red/Wht/Yel, where Yel is video and Red/Wht are left/right stereo audio). Red/Wht RCA Audio jack connections are required to be made on all Output types excepting HDMI.

Note, to get your Digital channels, you will need to toggle the DR570's DTV/TV button. DTV is Digital TV channels. TV is analog channels, the DR570 found on your Cable or Antenna RF input coax, after you have done the Setup/General/Channels/Scan (extended). Scan only finds analog channels. Extended Scan scans for both Analog and Digital channels found active on your Cable/Antenna RF connection.

Note also, the DR570 is not technically and HD receiver. The term High Defintion (HD) is reserved to mean 1080i or p resolution, the highest available. The DR570 is an Extended Definition (ED) 720i or p receiver. It up-converts its ED to fit an a 16:9 HD TV screen. You will hardly notice the difference on your TV, but it is the difference between watching a DVD Movie on a standard DVD player, like this one, as opposed to a full HD player like a Blue Ray.

My digital tv tuner converter box with analog Zenith converter bo

Most DTV converter boxes have 2 outputs available; RF and component video. The RF goes in between the antenna and the TV and acts as a frontend tuner. The TV needs to be set to Channel 3 or 4 (depending on the box) and left there. All tuning is then by the converter box. By the way, you need to scan for channels as part of the setup. The other method is by using the audio/video component inputs to the TV and the set would then select AUX 1 or 2 etc to get the box input, and tune via the box.

All we are getting is a pixilated screen and no sound. Dvd's play normally

OK. This should be simple. If you are using a TV with a built in digital tuner like all the HDMI ( High Defintition Media Interface) flatscreens then you probably need to go through your set up menu on your Digital TV and select Initial Setup / Channel Input / Cable / Satellite if coming directly from a dish on 75 Ohm Coax / or Cable if coming directly from the outside 75 Ohm coax with analog signal. ( When I say DIRECTLY, I mean you are not going through any boxes and changing or passing the signal). All satellite direct connects are digital and all satellite converter boxes have multiple out puts these days. There is an HDMI output for high def and low def analogl to digital (A/D) signals coverted within the TV, sometimes there is a DVI or even a USB out put connector...and there is a 75 Ohm coaxial RF cable connection for all the old schoolers who do not have a widescreen digital TV. RF means Radio Frequency and uses Radio Frequency Channels 3 and 4 at the bottom of the RF band around 56 MHz to which any TV with an Analog Tuner can use. In the old days this is what was used for the connection to the TV from the cable boxes because our TVs did not have the capability of decoding analog pay channel signals, hence the little black boxes sold and used ONLY by cable thieves and not any of us here on fixya. For starters, let's make sure you are using your high def, dvi. or some format of digital It sounds like your TV is set up to search and code digital signals but is looking for the wrong carrier frequencies, meaning it is either looking for decoded digital satellite box signals, digital broadcast ( New Digital TV received via an Antenna). Once your TV scans for channels in the cable mode they will be memorized and available on your channel up / down keys and Favorites. (FYI t will scan for both digital and analog channels on antenna mode). Repost if you have troubles or refer to your users manual.

Hitatchi 42HDF52 only receives channel 5 and 6 on analog RF input

If you have tried autoprogramming and have found nothing it may be a bad tuner. Is your VCR is hooked up via coax or into a video input? If it is hooked up via video and is working but the coax connection direct isnt it will be a bad TV tuner. Easiest cheapest fix is to use you VCR to change channels or get a Digital Cable Terminal from you cable provider and hook it into video or compnent.
