How do i change the battery in my Staples spl-170X calculator

SOURCE: Set Tax Rate

First clear all w/ ON/AC.
Enter the tax rate desired eg. 7 for 7% (can you tell I'm in PA)
Press RATE then TAX+
Press C/CE.
The next time you use TAX+ it will calculate and add the value that you set.
Do the same for TAX-, you can use a different value for each as they are separate memories.

pressing the tab button displays the number of decimal places 0, 2, 3, 4, A, F on the bottom of the screen.

some never do, due to SOLAR power
my TI 36x 1999 never turns of , until room lites do.
lost your manual , google finds it and tells you how to use it
at the top right corner of this calc is Solar cell battery
there is no OFF button below by DESIGN
my 36x has been on for DECADES, and works perfectly now.
23 years old mine, and love it, for math, max.

just use it and be happy.
