Question about Lite On LVW-5115GHC+ DVD Recorder

1 Answer

LVW-1107HC1 I purchased this recorder from Fingerhut. I have been paying on it and it was sitting in the box because I could not get anyone to hook it up for me. I am 72 yrs. old and not to hip on these modern new fangled devices. Last week my son-in-law finally came over to hook it up for me so I could start to use it. I wanted to record and send discs to the rest of my family. Well, he worked on it and worked on it........it was set up the way it shouldbe but would not do anything. It kept saying that there was no disc in it. All the while there was a disc. We tried three NEW blank discs but it kept up with the same message. I wrote to your email address last week and got NO REPLY! I have been calling and calling and get a BUSY signal "ALL THE TIME!" I called Fingerhut firstand they told me to contact you. So now what? It has never been used and I don't think I should have to be mistreated like this. I bought it in good faith, have been paying for a LEMON and no one wants to do anything about it! This is not my fault or problem and am not HAPPY about this standoff. Rose Furman

This sounds like the "dust" problem I have read in other Q&A. Look at these suggestions for help.

I need a new coard for a chefs mark deep fryer molder number Ldf401B richard powell 7655851560

Hello, Richard -

Apparently the Chef's Mark product trademark is owned by Bluestem Brands, Inc. It also seems that Chef's Mark products may be sold exclusively through Fingerhut, also owned by Bluestem Brands.

However, I have not been able to find any source for any replacement part for ANY Chef's Mark product, including your deep fryer.

This is the link to the Fingerhut Contact Us page:
https://www.fingerhut.com/customerService/contactUs

You may wish to telephone Fingerhut Customer Service and ask about the availibility or a replacement cord.

I did check the Fingerhut offerings of Chef's Mark products and did not find your model of the deep fryer. I did find model number AD884SS:
https://www.fingerhut.com/product/RM125.uts

If there is no replacement cord available through Fingerhut, you may wish to find and contact a local repair business for small kitchen appliances to find out if they have an electrical cord which would work with your deep fryer.

I'm looking at buying an Acer Aspire from Fingerhut. It's already a couple hundred bucks over what I'd pay at Wal-Mart but I need to use this method of purchase because our credit card's...

What this means is that computer manufactures (HP, Gateway, Dell etc) get a kickback (small amount of money) if they preload their computers with trial software. In most cases this will be Microsoft Office, Norton etc. So the software will work for 1 to 2 months before you need to buy a serial key to fully activate the product. So the ad means you can buy the key to activate said software.

I recently purchased an LG RH397D dvd recorder> Ihave now discovered taht it will not receive the new free view channels and I need a HD set top box. How to I connect the set top box to the dvd...

Hi, The set top box will more than likely have two coaxial connectors ( threaded/ribbed pieces of metal ) coming out of the back. also three R.C.A. connectors-these will be smooth and be colored yellow red and white. one of the coax connectors will say " IN FROM ANT> or CABLE IN) the other ( OUT TO T.V. ) hook up your dvd recorders " ANTENNA " input to the set top box's ANTENNA output. If your D.V.D. recorder doesn't have an antenna input then hook up the recorders audio/video input to the set top box's audio/video output. then you should be good to go. If you buy a H.D.T.V. tuner to receive FREE H.D. programming it may be possible to hook up to recorder with H.D.M.I. cables.( those connections resemble slots ) I hope this has been of some assistance, good luck, Prodzilla.

I have purchased Samsung 550 - series L5 - I don't seem to be able to hook up the VCR to it to record. I have cable on it and I would like to be enable to record programs. Television ask if I want to...

You don't record from TV, you record from cable so cable needs to be hooked up to input on VCR.
If you don't use cable box you would hook cable to VCR then out of VCR to TV. If you use cable box then you need to connect Video and Audio outputs on cable box to Video and Audio inputs on VCR and switch input of VCR to Line input.

If you have the box hooked up to your 1996 combo turn or tune on channel 3 if the converter box is selected to channel 3 you should get all your digital reception from the box to your tv/vcr. Select what you want to watch or tape on the box, what you see on your tv will record to your vcr when you select record.
