No matter what instrument you have, the price should reflect the quality of the instrument.
For instance say your instrument is very good sounding, but has some wear and tear, you could sell it for $100, if it's poor sounding
but great looks $75, and if it's poor sounding, and has wear and tear
the price should be no more than $50.

Why do musical instruments cost so much?

Depending on the instrument you are looking for ebay, or even can be a good bet if you're willing to wait on shipping. They often have them for less than 1/3 the price of a typical store and your purchases are backed by the website.

Where is serial number located?

If you can't find a stamped number or a painted on decal,
there was more in likely was a sticker ser.# that has fallen off or been removed, sometime there are numbers located under pick guard inside the guitar body cavity or under neck pocket
Hope this Helps?

Gretsch serial number

There are several sites for instruments. I would personally go right for the Gretsch site. They should have a history of their products. Another way is to search for "Gretsch Serial Numbers".
