When the Operation lamp is flashing, the unit can't operate efficiently and has shut off. Check and clean the Air Filters. Check that nothing is blocking the air inlet or outlets (on all indoor units (if a multi-unit system) and the outdoor unit). Remove all obstructions. Turn the breaker to Off and then On again. Check if the unit works with the remote.

If you have a multi-unit system, make sure that all indoor units are in the same Operation mode. If the units are on Auto, make sure that all units are set for Heat or Cool.

Plasmas get hot, how long have you owned the unit, is it wall mounted or in some entertainment stand, make sure rear vents are clear and not full of dust, also make sure the cooling fans engage, you may have to pull rear cover off unit and get a can of compressed air and clean it out. I could not find on the web 4 blinking lights, I could find 7 and continuous... So 4 may mean something to company, is it under warranty, if so, call them up and schedule a repair.

Try pressing and holding the lock button for 3 seconds to stop the light from blinking. Your wall control may be bad. Usually when that light is blinking it is the remotes that will not work.
