if you erased the photos from the card using the computer, you may need to format the card again. I use CF cards in a video camera and if I delete items using the computer that's what I have to do.

No pictures on camera - yet getting "memory full" message

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs. After copying your photos to the computer, then you can delete the photos from the memory card using your computer.

Hello, My digital camera is Pentax Optio E30. After taking photos I tried to download them to my netbook using the SD card slot. I inserted the memory card into the slot but no files appeared but when I...

Pretty cool that the newer computers are coming with an SD card slot. However the computer looks at this as an external hard drive and I don't think the pictures are just going to automatically pop up on the screen. You will need to go find the "drive" click on the folder and open, once you have the pictures open you can select all copy and then create a folder on your computer hard drive and paste the pictures in that. Once the pictures have transferred do a safe eject of the SD "drive" and remove the SD card. Don't forget to do a format to the card once back into the camera.

Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card, not an SD card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use an SD (or MMC or xD or MS), 2GB and smaller.

How to use the memory card reader

To access the memory card reader without using the software provided, follow the steps below. If no card is inserted, the green light on the card reader will be on.
Insert a memory card.
• Insert the card with the brand name label facing up.
• If there is an arrow on the card, make sure it points toward the printer.
• If needed, make sure you connect the memory card to the adapter that came with it before inserting it into
the slot.
Wait for the light located to the right of the slots on the printer to come on. The light blinks to indicate the memory
card is being read or is transmitting data.
• The printer recognizes one memory card at a time. If you insert more than one memory card, a message appears
on the display prompting you to remove all memory cards inserted.
• If a USB flash drive is inserted together with the memory card, a message appears on the display prompting you
to choose which memory device to use.
When reading of images is complete, the number of photos found appears on the display. Then you can make your selection and print. these are the types of memory card supported by you printer.

Error 99

1. Turn off the camera.
2. Remove the lens, battery, and CF card.
3. Allow the camera to sit without power for approximately 20 minutes.
4. Insert a fully charged battery, and turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If it does, then the camera should be
serviced. If it does not, then please proceed to the next set of steps:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Insert the CF card.
3. Turn on the camera.
4. Format the CF card in the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If so, then the CF card is the most
likely source of the issue. Try using a different card.
If the message does not appear, please complete the following steps:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Clean the lens contacts by gently rubbing them with a pencil eraser
or soft cloth. Be careful that you do not let any debris fall into the
camera body.
3. Reattach your lens.
4. Turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
If the “ERR 99′ message only appears when one particular lens is
attached, then that lens should be examined by a service technician.
If you see the “ERR 99′ with a different Canon lens attached, then the
camera should be serviced.
