How to fix flashing dots xbox 360?

What your having is an problen with your Grpahic Card, VERY common with the xbox 360. currently there is no easy fix as the card is built in. you will need to find a local repair shop or send it to xbox.com for repair

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

These "black dots" you talk abotu could be a variety of things and since you haven't given much detail it's hard for me to say.

Just double check it's not your TV or cables or any nearby electrical products causing interferance so you're certain the problem originates from your Xbox 360.

Hopefully, it's just a problem with your cable, maybe it's not plugged in right or maybe a replacement will fix it.

When I say hopefully, I mean, hopefully it's a cable fault as opposed to an Xbox 360 hardware fault. Variations of black lines or dots, or just general artifacts on screen while using your 360 usually happens prior to a hardware fault usualy concerning the GPU.

this is a gpu issue, you need to contact microsoft support, the xbox 360 has a lot of problems as it is a flawed design.

This is likely due to Hardware Failure. Your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has likely overheated to the extent of artifacting which is when the device begins to have trouble rendering objects and images and crashes constantly. The only viable solution is to send it in if you still have warranty, Otherwise, you'll have to either buy a new Xbox 360 or send it in for repairs from microsoft.

check your game for deep scratches on the cd if there is none, then your best bet is shipping it back to microsoft or there is actually a company that fixes your 360 for a cheaper price. just google xbox 360 recall and if you look through the pages of signatures you will find an advertisement for 360 recalls go to that and call the #, i hope it works out for ya.

Hi i on u r screen white dotted vertical lines comming & if the no. is more than 6 the if the laptop is under warrenty then company will replace the LCD & if not under warrenty then to fix this issue u have to replace the LCD.

if its less than a year old phone Microsoft customer support.
if not it could be early signs of 3 red lights

I had this problem with my very first Xbox 360. It started showing little white dots instead of black though. I just dealt with it for a while, and it finally got to the point where it would fill up the screen fully, to where I could only see my gun in Halo 3 and that was about it. I was forced to call Microsoft and have them fix it.
