Is dongle available

This sounds more like a driver issue than a software problem. The ArtLink 6 software CD that came with the Aurora 430 had drivers for XP and Windows Vista. However, these drivers may have only been for the 32-bit OS. Windows 7 is the first version of the OS to have had a large number of 64-bit installations.

The latest drivers for the Aurora 430 is available here: https://berninaofamerica.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200183069-Aurora-Driver-Windows-Vista-7-and-8- . You will need to install two drivers; follow the directions on the site. Make sure that the USB cable is good and that you aren't using a USB hub.

If you have installed the drivers and the ArtLink 6 software still isn't working, ArtLink 7 is fully compatible with Windows 7 and the Aurora sewing machines. The only download site for this software that I've found is https://www.bernina.com/en-CA/Products-CA/BERNINA-products/Software-Designs/BERNINA-Embroidery-software/Advanced-Embroidery-Software/ArtLink-Seven . ArtLink 8 is also Windows 7 compatible. However, I haven't found any documentation on the supported sewing machines.

However, since you have the Editor Lite v4, this dongle may not be supported under Windows 7. The dongle driver is not updated regularly. The dongle is only available with the software when you buy it. The dongle alone doesn't run the reader/writer box. The dongle is the code key for the software that allows you to send designs to the reader/writer. So purchasing new software (which also gets you the new dongle) is what you'll need to do if you want to send designs to the programmable card. Another issue you may have is that the older reader /writer box that uses a parallel port hook up, doesn't work with the new software. So if you have an old reader /writer, you'll also need a new usb reader / writer box. The new reader / writer also comes with a new programmable card.

I believe that the information that you have been given is correct. The VIP dongle is no longer available.
As for the second part of the question, do you have a damaged dongle or has it been lost completely? If it has been lost, there is no way to replace it without buying a new software package.

I'm going to assume that you mean the Digitizer 2000 software.

Unfortunately, your best bet will be to either wait and see if another copy (complete with dongle) shows up on eBay or upgrade to the Digitizer 10000 version (while Customizer 10000 is NOT compatible with the MC9000, Digitizer 10000 IS), either via your local dealer or snagging it on eBay.

Right now, there's two auctions on eBay for the Dig 10000. It seems to run roughly around $300-400.

A dongle is a usb plug in used for mobile broadband connections and should be available from your mobile phone shop!

1st try another usb port
2nd uninstall the software and plug the device in only after you have reinstalled the software and you are asked to plug it in. If it doesn't ask then install the software first and try again.

You can also right click on my computer and select manage.
then on the left side of the window select device manager, unplug and plug back the usb dongle and see if any devices appear or disappear also note any yellow ! marks. you may have to press the scan for new hardware button or right click on the window to scan for hardware changes.

Hello. No, the only way you are going to get this to work is to replace the software with new ones, as all software come with different dongle numbers. The dongle numbers are specifically for the software that you have, you can't even change dongles. Can you get in touch with the seller to give you the dongle? I have a set of Cracked software for the BERNINA ARTISTA 180 that I can copy for you for $200, which you don't need a dongle for. The Designer SE software does not use a dongle. If you are attempting a "Smart Update" on the Designer SE and it asks if you use a dongle, just say no and the update on the machine will run.
If you have 3D or 4D software, it uses the dongle and it will be USB. Download the latest driver for your software from the Husqvarna Viking website. The link is through the homepage at Husqvarnaviking.com/us . Click links on the left side of the screen for 4D Software, Help & Updates, and Other Useful Software at the bottom of the page. This will have the latest 3D driver. 4D will require the latest update to the software and a firmware upgrade to the dongle. Run Smart Update on the software and then get the firmware update that is directly below the 3D HASP driver on the Other Useful Software page.
