Toshiba Nti EZ backup drive is filling up. It keeps creating backups but doesn't delete old backups or images. I can no longer back anything up because the drive is almost full. There are warnings that I should not modify or delete any files so I am stumped. This is a 1Tb drive and in 3 weeks it filled up. Not sure how to proceed?
Vladimir thank you but where are setting. I open the dashboard and the only titems offered are modifying the frequency ofthe backup, the files to be backed up and the location to backup to. The "override old backups" option is located in the "Settings" tab of the NTI Backup Now EZ 7 application. This option allows you to choose whether or not to overwrite existing backups with new ones. If you have this option enabled, your backups will be overwritten each time you run a new backup. If you disable this option, your backups will be kept separate.
If you're using NTI Backup Now EZ 7 on Windows 10, you may be wondering where the 'overwrite old backups' option is. Here's a quick guide to help you find it.
Open the NTI Backup Now EZ 7 application. Click on the 'Advanced Options' tab. Click on the 'Backup Options' button. In the 'Backup Options' window, select the 'General' tab.
Under the 'Backup Options' heading, you will see the 'overwrite old backups' option. Select the 'overwrite old backups' option and then click 'OK' to save your changes.
I hope this helps!
You have an issue - if my understanding is correct ' you are trying to restore your files, programs etc., to a new computer.
Backups are meant to restore the files and windows operating system etc. on the same computer the backup was created from. If you bought a new computer, it cannot do any restoration of the backup file from the hard drive.
if this is not the case, you need to provide more information for anyone to help.
Format Hard drive and them backup only 1 time. In the future, create an additional backup and then after that delete the oldest backup. I backup my system about every month.
Hello bobdurack
I'm not shure this is the solution but it's a possibility : has the letter of your external Toshiba eventually changed ?
