Press and hold down gently the LOC button for 5 seconds or more, the light will go off - your machine is unlocked !! You do it again & the machine is locked. This is a tamper proof device against children. Gud luck. Comment?

this symbol means that the lock is on for the controls. this is a feature so that nobody can use it (childproof) If your machine comes with that feature. if not then it indicates your door is locked

IF IT IS LIKE MY 5202 YOU HAVE TO PRESS AND HOLD THE UNLOCK BUTTON FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS. THIS PREVENTS SOMEONE FROM JUST PRESSING THE BUTTON AND ACTIVATING THE LOCK . TRY THE PRESS AND HOLD METHOD AND LET ME KNOW.

Childproof Lock

Hello mine is a WM14S79BUK but i think it works on most recent models with lcd display.

I have to hold the down button on the option buttons for 5 seconds to activate child lock or unlock
