I had the same problem but mine was so bad i had to take it to a shop for repair. but since then i have found cleaning cartridges on an ebay shop. havent purchased any as of yet as printer seems to be working ok. but if i have the same problem again ill try these for £12 other than the shop repair of £60. dont know wether you can post links here but heres the shop i found. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170255273249&cguid=ecef371311c0a0aad3543ba4fffacc27
You may have to clean the heads 20 times, this uses a lot of ink but does eventually clean them.
try it 10 times then print a full a4 picture
if not repeat the above.
Give it a try.

You're jets are pretty much shot. Have you recently used generic ink or used ink that has sat for a while? I had almost the same model and bought my ink in bulk not thinking about it and same thing occurred. Time to upgrade to a new printer...sorry.
a) did u remember to remove the sensor cover tape from the cartridge b4 u installed it? and also the tape covering the hole where the ink draws from? if u have... try banging it on a desk or something to loosen up the ink a bit... this might help moisten things up, make it work. also make sure u have the right drivers, for that product AND ur OS i.e. windows xp or vista, and the right version of that OS, 32 or 64 bit
Hi, I have question?
The ink that yuo are change are original epson cartidge ink?If yes , try to head cleaning twice and then nozzle check ,then the result of test print are soild in color are good , the unclean head having plenty spaces within the color in test print.
Have you changed ink stock? What about paper, are you using specific ink jet paper? Make sure the gap from the printer to the paper has not been opened up (if set to envelope or similar)
