Hi! Welcome to www.fixya.com. I think you need to reinstall the your Operating System again. Let me give you a website so It can do it outside of windows: First you need start the laptop and hit f12 to go to the boot menu then put the OS CD or recovery disc then highlight the CD/DVD then press enter until it says windows is loading files:Now check this website : http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-windows-7-easily-step-by-step-guide/this can help you see the step by step process of the installation.
Hope this resolution fix the problem on your computer. Thanks for contacting Fixya. Bye for now.
It means it cannot find it's operating system or windows to start. When a PC boots it checks for boot devices, usually the floppy, then cdrom, then hard drive, if there is a disk in the floppy or if your pc is set to boot from cdrom and there is a disc in it - it will say OS not found. The second possible cause is something has happened to windows - either the hard drive has failed or windows has lost it's startup files. If the drive appears to be normal and chatters slightly on startup ( a light clicking noise) then possibly running the original windows install disc and reinstallin windows should fix the problem, on 98 or ME you can re-install, on 2000 or XP try the recover/repair option first.
try using an older driver from epson, sometimes you can luck up and find one that will work. try and find the prior model the one it replaced and see what happens. any of the 9x drivers should work try several just because one won't dosent mean another wont. hope this helps
I know you can't boot from the Windows 98 CD, and probably not from Windows 2000 either. It is possible to turn the the Windows 98 bootable floppy into a bootable CD, but I think you would be much better of trying to install Linux.
You have to completely reinstall the Operating System on your laptop at this point but I would re-install either Windows 2000 or XP since you will have less problem with wireless drivers, printer drivers, plug ins, etc. Make sure you have a valid Windows CD with serial numbers. After that place Windows XP CD into CD-ROM and Reboot. And you dont have to worry about converting to fat32 as Windows 2000 or XP is already a fat32 file system. Read the prompts when it comes up and answer with appropriate answers..
You don't need a windows 98 disk to install XP. It will load directly from your Cd drive. You have to set the bios to be the first boot disk. It is much easier to install XP on an empty drive than to upgrade.
i hope u have downloaded the driver from the net and installed and then u r trying...
may be there is a problem with windows 98 os so hust reinstall it... just it takes 10 to 15 mins to reinstall and u will not lose any file... it will ask "do you want to keep the files" just give yes and then give a try.. if u r trying with installing the software then just download it from the net and install and then try... after that also if ur system hangs means then just try in other pc where windows Xp is there... if it does nt works means then may be ur flash disk read and write cycle is over ... for the flash disks there will be limited read and write cycles so...
