Question about Garden
Riding mowers are usually straight gas, not mixed. If you accidentally put mixed gas in it the carb, plugs, and engine may be gummmed up. Clean, flush, start with fresh gas, and you should be OK

SOURCE: Lawn mower will not stay cranked unless you keep pouring gas into
common problems to all older lawnmower, lots of dirt and dust the mower goes through and ages. I would first start by taking the carb apart and clean the filter with soap and water, allow it to air dry. also carburetor prob need rebuilding or replacing. Pick up some Carburetor cleaner at any auto part store and spay it down the carb, dont be afraid to spray allot in there and let it dry for 1/2 and hours. carb tend wear and parts need replacing just like any engines. 99% of the time lawn mower carb goes out before the engine will and common problems with all lawn mower. If you not mechanical incline or dont want to rebuilt it, just buy the whole new carb and replace it, fairly cheap easy to replace and will last you another 10 + years or more. www.briggsandstratton.com

SOURCE: oil change
STOP !
Your lawn mower is has a 4 cycle engine
It does not require oil to be mixed with the gas
The oil for the crankcase should be a 10W-30 or 10W- 40
NO GAS IN THE OIL
What you have is a 2 cycle oil that is mixed with gas for most weed eaters, chain saws, ect
Putting a gas/oil mix in your mower WILL severely damage it destroying the main bearings and could lead to an explosion or fire.
Please be careful

FOR SURE CHECK ALL PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ITEMS , TRY THIS...ALMOST GUARANTEE IT WILL RUN............ REMOVE "ALL" OLD FUEL, REFILL WITH FRESH HIGHEST OCTANE FUEL. REPLACE SPARK PLUG (YES, EVEN IF IT LOOKS OK!) GAIN ACCESS TO CARB OPENING, REMOVE AIR FILTER..OR WHATEVER. USING SPRAY CARB CLEANER, FILL ENTIRE CARB AND FLOATBOWL WITH CLEANER....WAIT OVERNIGHT IF POSSIBLE..IT WILL EVAPORATE. NEXT DAY SHOOT MORE INTO CARB..GETTING ANY JETS, ORIFICES ETC..FILL FLOAT BOWL AGAIN. P.S. CLEAN OR REPLACE AIR FILTER IF NEEDED! WAIT A WHILE, GAP NEW SPARK PLUG, INTRODUCE APPROX. 1-2 OZ. OF FRESH GAS INTO PLUG HOLE...QUICKLY RE-INSTALL SPARK PLUG ..WITH ON/OFF SWITCH-BAR OFF..PULL OR CRANK ENGINE A FEW TIMES. MAKE SURE IGNITION CAN FIRE, CRANK(ELECT. START) OR PULL STARTER ROPE & MOWER SHOULD FIRE OVER. IF IT STARTS..RUNS..THEN STALLS (AFTER USING UP GAS IN CARB, TRY IT AGAIN. IF IT CONTINUES TO STALL QUICKLY...YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST A CARBURATOR REBUILD, OR IF NO START AT ALL..YOU NEED TO SEE IF PLUG IS FIRING.
