I have a 30G video ipod aprox 18 months old which has had very light usage. I
have now started receiving an intermittent message \'FireWire connections are
not supported. To transfer settings, etc\'. Removing the message by pressing the
central button has no effect. I have carried out a reset and a full restore but the problem persists. If I leave my ipod in my Tango speaker system it will after a while produce a rapid clicking sounds as thought something is trying to switch on and off. I wondered if these symptoms may be a sign of a failing
battery ? any ideas ?

Do you have an ipod module or are you using ibus-to-rca cable to connect your ipod to the D3? In order to control full ipod functions by touch screen you need the ipod module, hence the D3 says ipod control ready not ipod control built in. Let me know so I can pin point the problem.
