Most home surveillance cameras have a "feed" (wires) to TWO separate gizmos: the camera itself, and the power supply to make the camera work.

The camera VIDEO wires will be the ROUND part of the wire, or "feed". That is because it is a "shielded" cable, kind of like the TV cable to your television.

The camera POWER wires will be "the other ones".

There is NEVER an on/off switch on a surveillance camera, and for a good reason: what the heck good would it be, if you could just sneak up on it from behind and turn it off?

If your camera is not powering up, I would suspect the power supply first, the wires to the camera second, and the camera itself third.

kkmoon 8 ch DVR with 1TB WHEN I POWER IT ON THE START UP SCREEN (KKMOON) COME UP ON THE SCREEN AND THEN WHEN IT GO'S OFF NOTHING. My nextbook display is upside down,,,the power button and camra is at the bottom

If the auto rotate system is on it will switch the controls so try restarting it and then if it still does that go the the programs settings and see if u can fix it.

if you got a phone with camra turn it on to camra, hold remote pointing into camra and push power button you should see a light if not, take apart clean board and rubber pad with metho check for dry joints eg try moving parts to see if the solder bit moves , redo if you see a light probelm in set

Lens is stuck

Hi,
This happens when the camera is in the ON state and the battery power drains out completely. Please recharge the batteries or insert charged batteries and the lens would get closed automatically.
Please let me know if that works.
