Trying to wind the bobbin. I have followed all instructions but when I press the presser foot the wheel turns but the bobbin does not.

Do you have the Owner's Manual? Perhaps this would help.

Mmy bobbin case fell out of the casing spot and then the bobbin fell out. I don\t have a manual, used to know how to fix the problem simply but have forgotten. thanks for your help.

Hi. Find the end of the thread and pull it out, off of the bobbin a couple of inches. Hold the bobbin with the thread coming off of the top so that if you rotated the bobbin counter clockwise it would wind the thread onto the bobbin. Now take the bobbin case in your left hand with the stem in the center of the case facing toward you. Stick the bobbin into the bobbin case and, taking the end of the thread, pull it to your left while pushing back on it somewhat until the thread enters the slot in the bobbin case. Pull the thread so that it slips under the thread tension spring, pull a little more out, then reinsert the bobbin case until it is seated all the way in the hook. It will probably have a catch that snaps in place.

I received singer sewing machine 2623 machine and I do not have the manual. How can I get it and how do I fill the bobbin

Singer has manuals for most of their sewing machines available at their site. For the 2623, the manual is only available as a bound copy for $15. Go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and enter the model number then click Search.

I believe on this model, you fill the bobbin with it on the metal pin on the top right of the machine. With a metal presser foot in place, bring the thread up and around the guide that pin. Wrap the thread a few times around the bobbin. Set the lever to the bobbin winding position and begin winding. Stop and trim the excess thread from your initial wraps after it is fully caught. Then complete winding the bobbin.

(On other Singer machines, you fill the bobbin in place with the bobbin cover moved halfway open.)

I hope this helps.

I have a Singer Imperial sewing machine, the bobbin winds in the machine, no manual with it. I have been trying to figure out how the bobbin is supposed to wind, I got it to do it one time trough trial and...

Does the bobbin have a metal "peak" on it? If so, drop it in the machine with the peak up. Slide the cover only about half way till the 2 arrows on the left match up. Thread the top as normal, put the machine in straight stitch. Thread the needle, then put thread under the foot and wrap thread around the post on the left. Leave foot up. Hold onto the end of the thread and start your machine. The bobbin should be winding now. After a few wraps you can let go of the thread and it should have broken off as you continue winding till the bobbin is full.

How do I wind a bobbin.

At the top of the machine by the spool holder should be a post that slides back and forth. Put the spool of thread on the Holder and the bobbin on the post attach the thread and slide it one way and push on the foot pedal and that should start the process. Make sure you have taken the bobbin out of the bottom and the thread out of the needle other wise you will have a tangled up mess of thread in the bobbin section. Hope this helps! or Call Grama
