Looks like you back light is dead.
Ticon board deals with the image, since your problem has nothing to do with it, look it over the power board for bad electrolytic capacitors, check the voltages and signals.
In general bad caps does this, the back light can be dead so check to see if there is pulses signals at the back light terminals.
Not familiar with your set but check for a separate, smaller power supply board or module that services the display itself. Plasma sets require a high voltage for operation and if it failed, it could cause the failure of the main supply from which it often receives its input DC. Since the plasma service voltage isn't always the same from one set to the next, can't give you specific levels to look for but it will be high enough to cause serious pain; use caution.
This is the relevant excerpt from the Powerbolt programming and troubleshooting instructions:
"To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:
Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip. Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute. If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1). If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish)."
Since you've already gone through the battery change, try the battery remove-reinstall recommended above. If that doesn't work for you it suggests that you need to replace the appropriate Powerboard for your lock.
So this is the link to Weiser Customer Support Page, where you will find the appropriate number of your location:
I suggest calling the appropriate toll-free number and having a conversation with a representative about this problem. You will want confirm that you need the part before you go through the expense, and that it's worth it. You will need to know the "finish" of your lock. Try to talk them into warrantying the part, in spite of the age (one year warranty on electronics), as a matter of good customer relations. They will help you get the correct part on order.
Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!
I have had the same problem. I removed the heater element and checked the resistance with my multimeter and got the reading of 26.4Ohms which sees ok. I then removed the printed circuit board and found that a joint on the back had burnt out. I have resoldered this joitn and all seems fine now.
F08 fault means your heater relay is stuck.Remove plug and wait 5 mins {MACHINE MAY NEED TO DISCHARGE POWER BOARD} THEN CHECK heater connections and main powerboard connections. heater is located at back of machine and powerboard at back lhs
I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the following is correct:
If it does not beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced
If the unit continues to beep, the keypad needs to be replaced
