How do I delete stored faxes in a Panasonic KX-FL511 without printing them?

The machine is set to auto answer. It was out of paper so the faxes did not print. I would like to save paper and toner if possible and just delete the stored faxes as they are no longer needed.

The manual indicates where you may need to reset the unit if the memory is full or even if you just want to clear it, page 89-90.

You may use code: [MENU] [*][8][0] [SET] or [START]

You may also call - 1800-211-7262 for Panasonic's capable Technical Support; be sure to have the serial number of the product ready.

Your error 43 refers to the fact that the fax you are calling does not answer. Talk to them and ask if their fax is set to "Auto Receive". its probably not.
