Got the printer installed but paper won't feed from top or the bottom, please advise.

There are probably problems with the rollers or the gear sequence that drives them. This type of repair may be more costly than what the printer is worth!

Check in the printer driver properties window on the computer. It sounds like the Paper Source is set to "Auto Sheet Feeder". You need to change this setting to "Paper Feed Switch" so that you can select the paper source from the printer itself.

I just had the same problem, I cleaned the rolers manually with alcohor and is working ok now

I was having the exact same problem. Then I took the time to read the error messages I was getting and it said to press the paper load button on the front of the printer (the bottom one) to switch the feeder tray from bottom to top. hee hee. Too bad it took me 2 hours before I figured that one out! Hope this helps!

Does it try to take the paper?........
....yes......Dirty paper feed rollers, clean rubber rollers with slightly damp rag
....No....... Paper/tray not installed correctly or sticking / dirty paper out sensor
