Why or what are possible causes of MTX tna251 amp bass remote not work. No difference in sound turning bass knob all the way left and right several times

Install out of box and sure all connections are correct.light o. Remote module comes on? Had two amps before with remote bass and both telephone wire and connector onlhad six wires used while this one only four but remote module also only has 4 available connections so wire and plug match that way other have six wires? Is there a button I over looked? Or does it work only when amp is in a specific mode such as not put on full range but you use low pass filter only or high only is there a way to engage bass remote on remote or on amp or is it possible amp part that deals with remote used is simply not working if that is issue what are chances that specific problem is start of amps problems that only get worse. This being brand new or is cable the culprit. Amp works and is loud. Also removal of cable connection from either amp or remote unlike prior MTX tube/amp that had same feature I very much liked that the cord got some cuts and bad not as loud volume was result till unplugging all together made full bass controlled by source

SOURCE: LIGHTS ON BUT NO BASS

Is the master/slave switch set to master? Have you tried feeding the signal into a different amp to make sure that there is signal reaching the amp?

SOURCE: Bass control stopped working

on rockford amps, the bass control knob needs to be connected to get the maximum output (+18 db gain i believe). If you did this to the power wires, then yes, you may have at least damaged the bass control knob. Try replacing this to see if you get all of your gain back. If not, then you have damaged something inside the amp...maybe a capacitor or power supply inside. If that's the case, you'll need to get the amp looked at by an electronics repair technician or local stereo shop.

Mtx tna251 amp has bass remote that has a light glowing but turn knob up and down and no difference like simply not working no difference in bass? Posible causes,

It is actually in the controller, if you turn the remote all the way down and press on the controller until the bass goes off, you will be able to turn the bass up and down with the remote, mine worked but stopped after a month, I tried adjusting the amp but then I noticed that if I wiggled the knob on the remote that it would work, I mashed mine until it worked again and velcroed it to my console sonibcan get it on and off easily.

I bought a mtx terminator amp model no TNA251 600 watt and two subs installed. It works good for few days but now its not cranking up proper bass and sound. It always has three solid red lights everytime....

does it do this all the time when you turn it on? any sound at all?
provide more information, but my guess its that the amp is blown. replace it or sell it for parts.

I have the same sub combo. The problem is the amp is underpowered for the 2 MTX 12s, get a bigger amp and you should be fine.

The light is red and no bass is coming out of my subs

The Amp Is Most Likely In Protection Mode... 2 Ways To Figure Out Whats Wrong With it Is Check Every Single Wire And Make Sure That Every thing Is Hooked Up Correct And There Are No Bad Connections With Ur Remote Wire, Ground Wire, And Battery 12v Wire, Rca Cables As Well. If Every Thing Checks Out Good Then Try Checking The Fuses And Make Sure u Are Using The Correct Fuses That Are Good For That Amp. If U try These 2 Things And You No Your Subs Are Hooked Up Correctly Then The Worst Is Probably There. I Had The Pioneer 7200 Amp And It was A Blown Amp And The Red Light was Constantly On. No Sound No Nothing. If U Try Those Steps And it Still Does Not Work Then Most likely Your Amplifier Is Toast. Hope This Helps :-)

Does anyone know how to make a bass knob remote out of phone line? What the color code? I have 4 different color wire here but i don't know what to do to make a bass knob remote.

It is NOT clear what you are trying to do... HOWEVER if you are attempting to extend a bass potentiometer remotely, you CANNOT use the four wire flat telephone line as it is unshielded and you will pick up hum.

I have this hooked up and works fine with the key on, but when i start the car, sub light, amp and sub dont come on.

You have connected it to the wrong power wire - one that is only active in service mode - first key position.
You should draw a wire directly from the battery (don't forget to add a 40 amps fuse on the wire) to the amps. If you don't want them constantly operational (you will have to manually shut them down) install a relay on the wire with the command coming from a wire from the instrument key position - second position of the key. Use a voltmeter to identify the wires.

We installed the amp and bass package and the subs are not nowhere near *** powerful we think its the amp and when the remote bass switch when we turn it it doesnt change

what product brand did you install. do you set the amps x-over and gains a sub sonic filter right
need to see if the amp is on check led light on amp. make sure your subs ohm load is correct for the amp.

let us an example fake amp 500x2channel max output 1000watts

if you wire your subs at 4 ohms you 250x2 rms stereo
if you wire your subs at 2 ohms you 500x2 rms stereo
if you wire your subs at 4 ohm mono you get 1000 watts

if you have the input voltage of 14.4 all the time at the amp

whats the equipment power

My mtx 1000xd will turn on but makes a sound inside near the circle donut looking with(lots of wires soldered) and where my ground is to the trunk bolt and even in side speakers. It will not power my...

sounds like you may have a bad torroid (the donut looking thing). you may also have a bad ground connection. make sure you have completely bare metal where the ground connection is. you need a very clean connection.
