You will need to replace the leaky capacitors in the power supply circuit. You can locate the faulty capacitors with a visual check. Those that are bulging need to be replaced.

most likely leaky capacitors in the power supply circuit. you can locate those by looking for the bulging tops. any that are bulging will need to be replaced.

Go into the menu and turn off the timer. The timer can be set to turn off the tv after a predetermined time. Look for sleep timer. May be on remote control.

Have you checked all the inputs to the television? It might be blinking because it doesn't see a signal. If all the inputs are secure try pressing the input select button on the remote. If that doesn't work it never hurts to try unplugging the power cord, waiting a minute, and plugging it back in.

My Magnavox flat penal TV just stopped working, i tried to turn it on but screen doesn't start or the tv and power light is on but it's keep making clicking sound..I bought this in Dec 2007

Samsung LN46A650 that cycles on and off with no picture. The red light flashes in the lower right hand corner. Still no picture. Have to unplug power supply to turn it off.

Turn it on and let it run for about 30 seconds. If it still doesn't work... unplug it, wait 15 minutes, plug it back in, then try again. If that doesn't work, you might want to contact Samsung to see if it needs repaired or replaced.

Have a hls 4676s and the tv turns on works fine then a clicking sound starts and the sound goes off. turn tv off, wait 20 min, turn back on and fine for awhile repeating problem

You Sr are experiencing the signs of a bad ballast. It's not able to keep up the voltage to light up the lamp. Therefore as a safety measure, it turns off.

Unit turns off after about 5 minutes and then red light (standby) blinks. the "lamp" light blinks green ocassionally. do i need to replace the bulb or could it be another problem?

Since you will need a lamp in the future--try replacing it as a first step.Take note if the symptoms change.Let us know.
